Colonialism erases our individual histories, and this game is about coming up with different ways to resist colonialism and criticizing/subverting the premise of colonial traditions through family/personal folklore and personal authenticity, we want to examine the culture of potluck as a method of decolonization and a way of supporting communities through times of distress.  

This game is a narrative-driven, multiplayer digital game that explores the cultural stories behind everyday foods. Players gather around a virtual rotating table filled with dishes from diverse cuisines. In the game, you and your friends are having a potluck together, and you’re discovering family folklore through different dishes on the table. Each player takes a turn to spin the table roulette-style to introduce the new dish for everyone to enjoy. Each round introduces a new dish and its cultural background through short narrative scenes and mini-games. By interacting with the dishes—preparing, serving, trading, or storytelling—players unlock discussions of self-identity, cultural histories, and family folklores tied to food, migration, and cross-culture exchange.
